ACC 20 OF 2016 - Republic vs Jecinta Mugure Kiguru aka Jessica Wairimu & Joan Wanjiru Kariuki
Summary: The two accused were students at the Catholic University at the time of the offence. Knowing they were not qualified to graduate, they attempted to bribe university officials to alter their academic results by awarding them marks in failed and missing units and have their names included in their graduation lists and be allowed to graduate. The university officials alerted the EACC who facilitated recordings to verify the complaints and laid a trap for the two to catch them in the act, which they did as the two bribed the deputy registar academics with 10,000/=.
